Jamshedpur, Oct 22: The management committee of Takhat Shri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib, the birth place of Guru Gobind Singh, has demanded the establishment of a central university in Bihar in the name of Guru Gobind Singh ji, the founder of Khalsa Panth.
The President, who arrived in Bihar on his three-day visit, reached Takhat Shri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, on Friday and took the blessings of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. On behalf of Takhat, Avtar Singh received him. General Secretary Inderjit Singh, Vice President Jagjit Singh, Dharma Prachar Committee head and Assistant Secretary Lakhwinder Singh presented him a kirpan.
On this occasion, the President said that by coming to Bihar, he feels a sense of belonging and by coming to Takhat Sahib he gets inner peace and energy so that he can serve for the betterment of the country.
On this occasion, Sardar Inderjit Singh raised his voice for the establishment of a central university in Bihar in the name of Guru Gobind Singh. He assured that he would direct the Central Government to take action on their demands within the ambit of the law and the Constitution.
On this occasion Damanpreet Singh Shamsher Singh Soni Satpal Singh Raju, who went from Jamshedpur and many dignitaries were also present there.
