Jamshedpur, Jan 25: Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industries has written to the Chief Commissioner (CGST) Zone Patna requesting to open the Central GST Appellate in Jamshedpur. Vijay Anand Moonka, president, Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industries said that SCCI is the oldest organisation representing the entire Kolhan Division.
Presently the organization has more than 1800 members which include big companies, industrialists, small and big traders, traders and chartered accountants, professionals etc. Many industries of Adityapur-Gamharia Industrial Area are also our members. In short, the organization directly or indirectly represents almost everyone. He informed that the business fraternity and other professionals of Jamshedpur have to face a lot of inconveniences because at present, the Central GST Appellate is located at Ranchi. They need to come to Ranchi for all the work related to it.
In view of the above facts, it is indeed felt by the traders in and around Jamshedpur that GST appeal in Jamshedpur is essentially necessary. This will reflect the government. India’s commitment to ease of doing business and the city’s businessmen/professionals will also save valuable time that they could otherwise have used for productive purposes.
Honorary General Secretary Manav Kedia, Vice President Tax Finance CA Dilip Golcha, Secretary Tax Finance Piyush Choudhary said that the chamber is fully confident that this demand will be given due consideration and the problems/discomforts being faced by the business world will be resolved. . A copy of this letter has also been sent to the Prime Minister, Finance Minister and Chairman, CBIC, New Delhi.
