Demand for opening main thoroughfare road through Jubilee Park

Jamshedpur, August 27:   In a meeting of Jubilee Park Morning Walkers’ Group on Friday morning, the demand to open the main thoroughfare through Jubilee Park was renewed. The Group once again demanded from the district administration the opening of road passing through Jubilee Park and that the Park should remain open to public from 5 am to 10 pm. Presiding the meeting, State Youth Congress Secretary Rakesh Sahu said, “The Jubilee Park main road should be opened at the earliest. The Deputy Commissioner and Tata Steel administration do not have the right to close this road. Only the cabinet can take a decision on this. Almost 1.50 lakh population of Kadma-Sonari is affected due to closure of Jubilee Park road. There is shortage of roads in Jamshedpur. It is illegal to close the road through Jubilee Park.” Rakesh has warned of agitation if the demand was not met.
