DC seeks traders� participation for Global Investor�s Summit

Jamshedpur: District administration here on Saturday sought the support of city traders and businessmen in making the forthcoming Global Investors� Summit �Momentum Jharkhand� a grand success by ensuring their active participation in the event.

The appeal was made by the deputy commissioner (DC) of East Singhbhum Amit Kumar before a gathering of members of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) at Chamber Bhawan, Bistupur. Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Anoop T Mathew was also present on the occasion.

Addressing the traders, the DC said that the Global Investors� Summit was going to be a golden opportunity for the traders and businessmen to open new avenues for their businesses. He said the event was going to attract investors from far and wide and motivate them to invest in Jharkhand for its faster development.

Kumar appealed to the Chamber members to make sure that they attend the event and avail the huge benefit of interacting with a large number of investors and industrialists from world over. Many investment plans may be chalked out in the backdrop of the event that may prove beneficial for the traders as well as the people of the state, he said.

Representing the traders, the Chamber president Suresh Sonthalia praised the state government for coming up with the idea of organizing the Global Summit at such a grand scale. He assured the DC of active participation of the traders at the Summit. He expressed hope that the Summit would prove highly beneficial for the industrial sector of Jharkhand.

Many other Chamber members too, assured the DC of cooperation in making the forthcoming event a huge success. They were informed about the day-to-day schedule of the Summit and the facilities that would be provided to the delegates. A general overview of the programme arrangements was also laid bare before the traders for their convenience during their stay in Ranchi.

The DC and SSP discussed several other issues with the traders and assured to resolve the same very soon.
