Jamshedpur: District administration has begun preparations for the forthcoming event, Run for Unity, going to be organized at JRD Tata Sports Complex on 31st October on the occasion of birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The day will be celebrated as National Unity Day.
On this occasion, an oath-taking ceremony will also be held for the people. Chief Minister Raghubar Das is expected to participate in the programme.
In view of the event, the deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum Amit Kumar convened a meeting of district officials and corporate representatives of the city at the DC office. The officials were assigned responsibility for organizing the event.
It was decided to ensure the participation of around 5000 people in the Run for Unity. The DPRO Sanjay Kumar was asked to carry out intensive publicity of the event to make sure that a large number of people attend the event.
Many officials and representatives of local companies participated in the meeting and gave their suggestions to make the event a great success, sources said.
