DC orders completion of scholarship and cycle distribution work by July 31

Jamshedpur, July 26: East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Amit Kumar on Tuesday ordered the officers of welfare and education department to complete the scholarship and cycle distribution to students of class 1 to 4 and class 6 to 10 by July 31.

He also asked them to maintain transparency during the work. During the meeting at district collectorate, district welfare officer submitted a report that for the scholarship to students of class 1 to 4, Rs 3.72 crore was allocated of which Rs 3.49 crore was withdrawn while Rs 23 crore is left.

Acting on the same, DC asked to distribute scholarship among the remaining students through Gram Siksha Samiti by July 31.

For the list of students which has not been made available for class 5 to 10 students, DC urged the district education officer to be strict against the schools which has not provided the list and have coordination with block education extension officer and help provide the list to welfare officer.

On the cycle distribution it was reported that of 613 schools, 311 school have submitted the students list while other schools have been directed to submit the list within time.

Present during the meeting, leading bank management was directed to have coordination with banks for money received from treasury for transfer to bank accounts of concerned gram siksha samiti.
