DC launches Bharat QR Code in Seraikela-Kharsawan

Saraikela: In line with the ongoing Digitalisation drive by the Central and state governments, a simple and cost effective mode of payment has been launched by the name of Bharat QR (Quick Release) Code.

DC Saraikela-Kharswan Chavi Ranjan called a meeting to announce the launch in the district. Members of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) were also invited at the meeting.

District officials said, Almost all PSUs and private banks are attached to this mode of payment. It is the simplest form of digital payment and the cheapest till now. A merchant or shopkeeper needs to get himself registered through a form with his bank by paying a one-time fee of Rs 200.

The bank will provide him a QR code known as Bharat QR Code. A customer can scan this code through an UPI or his Banker’s APP, on his mobile and make the payment for his purchases. There is no limitation on the payment amount.
The SCCI members present at the meeting included Bharat Vasani, Nitesh Dhoot, Padam Agarwal and Rajesh Vasani.
