Jamshedpur: In a bid to ensure the seamless execution of the upcoming Republic Day celebrations, Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri and Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal conducted a thorough inspection of the final rehearsal for the Republic Day Parade. The district-level function is slated to take place at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur, with the distinguished presence of Banna Gupta, the Minister of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare, and Disaster Management Department, who will grace the occasion as the chief guest. The flag hoisting ceremony is scheduled for 9:05 am.

The district administration is leaving no stone unturned to ensure a grand and well-coordinated event. The rehearsal, which involved the participation of 1 Platoon JAP-6, 3 Platoon District Police Force (including Auxiliary Police), 1 Platoon District Home Guard, 2 Platoon NCC (Women/Men), and a Platoon of Scouts and Guides, was the culmination of preparations that began on January 20, 2024. The final rehearsal on January 24, 2024, was meticulously supervised to guarantee precision and efficiency during the actual event.

Apart from the parade rehearsal, Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri reviewed various aspects of the main function venue at Gopal Maidan. He issued instructions to departmental officers regarding law and order, traffic arrangements, seating provisions for visitors, and the deployment of essential services such as ambulances and fire brigades. Emphasizing the importance of smooth and well-managed celebrations, he assured that Republic Day would be celebrated grandly at the district level, with flag hoisting ceremonies planned across all government buildings and offices.

Key officials present at the occasion included City SP Mukesh Lunayat, Rural SP Rishabh Garg, District Public Relations Officer Rohit Kumar, and other notable personalities. The combined efforts of the district administration and law enforcement authorities aim to deliver a memorable Republic Day celebration, symbolizing unity, patriotism, and the spirit of the nation.
