Seraikela: The deputy commissioner (DC) of Seraikela-Kharsawan Ramesh Gholap inspected the district excise department on Monday.
He sought information about the action taken by the excise officials against those dealing in illicit liquor.
He directed the officials to conduct surprise raids and inspection across the district to put reins on sale or brewing of illicit liquor.
He said the culprits should be prosecuted without fail.
