Seraikela, Jan. 8: Seraikela-Kharsawan district administration has started preparations for the upcoming Republic Day celebration on January 26.
Ahead of the celebrations, a meeting headed by Deputy commissioner Chandrasekhar was held at DC office on Friday, January 8 where Superintendent of police Inderjeet Mahatha, management of district schools, several NGOs, Tata Steel Rural Development Society (TSRDS) officials and other administrative officials were present.
At the meeting, DC ordered the departments to take out tableaux on the tractors. Every year the administration hosts Republic day function at Birsa Munda Stadium in Seraikela.
SP Mahatha took stock of the security situation and ordered the police officials to have strict security measures all over the district.
The meet also discussed about the school participation at the celebrations where school authorities were told to have a colourful display of drills and other events.
NGOs and TSRDS participation was also ensured at the celebration.
