Seraikela: The deputy commissioner of Seraikela-Kharsawan Ramesh Gholap on Thursday flagged off a Jagrukta Rath (chariot of awareness) in Seraikela-Kharsawan.
The vehicle will move in Seraikela, Gamharia and Adityapur areas to spread awareness among the people on the importance of child education.
People will be appealed to send their little ones to school on a daily basis. Parents and guardians will be urged to ensure admission of their children in schools.
The DC said that Chandil was among the worst performing of the sub divisions of the district where children were found involved in various household, agriculture and commercial activities.
He said that children should not be employed in hotels or any other establishment. Rather, they should be sent to school, he said.
