Jamshedpur, March 18: DC Dr. Amitabh Kaushal on Wednesday carried out surprise inspection of government schools after getting complains relating to absence of teachers in the schools and posting of more teachers in urban areas in comparison to the rural schools of the district.
DC along with District Education officer Mukesh Sinha and District Superintendent of Education (DSE) Indubhusan Singh inspected eight government schools of the district.
During the inspection DC found seven teachers absent from the schools for different reasons. Off the seven teachers six are female and have been issued show cause notice to explain the reason.
The absent teachers have been asked to reply with solid evidence within the next three days and if DC is not satisfied with the reply then action will be taken against them.
DC assumed that holiday of absent teachers was under suspicion were two teachers (Md. Amin and Sunita Ekka) of Mahatma Gandhi Middle School were found missing without written information.
Same was the case with N Sahay of Adivasi Plus 2 School who was on deputation was found missing without informing the Principal.
Three teachers each of Adivasi High School and Harijan Middle School were on maternal leave but have not informed there controlling officer.
Later, talking to the media, DC Amitabh Kaushal said, �We were getting regular complaints from several political outfits stating that in the urban area government school students, teachers ration was unbalanced, this was the reason we conducted this surprise inspection to get the right information and transfer the teachers to rural areas where there is scarcity of teachers�.
DC along with others officials inspected Harijan Middle School and Harijan High School in Bhalubasa. Adivasi Middle School, Adivasi Plus 2 School and Bengal Muslim Middle School in Sitaramdera.
Thakkar Bappa Middle School in Kadma, Karimia Middle School, N-1 Type in Kadma and Mahatma Gandhi Middle School in Mango.
Show cause notice was issued to Md. Amin and Sunita Ekka of Mahatma Gandhi Middle School in Mango, N Sahay of Adivasi Plus 2 School in Sitaramdera, Ruby Singh of Harijan Middle School in Bhalubasa, Manna Kullu, Sunita Kumari and Manju Kumari of Adivasi Middle School in Sitaramdera.
