Jamshedpur, Sept. 19: Interact Club of D. B. M. S. English School had organised a “Literacy Drive” and “Stationery Drive” for their project schools in Jamshedpur. This month, September, is the Literacy month according to Rotary Calendar.
Senate Members of the Interact Club had conducted classes for a week from 11th to 15th September, 2017 based on the curriculum of the Project Schools in Maths, Science, English Language and General Knowledge. A Nukkad Natak was also conducted by the Interactors to inculcate hygiene and cleanliness on 14th September, 2017.
Soap strips were also distributed to children as part of Global Hand washing.
A test was also conducted, based on the classes and the students who scored highest marks were given prizes. Stationery articles were distributed among 720 students of the three project schools. The programme was a huge success with the children of the project schools and interactors who were very enthusiastic and energetic.
