Jamshedpur, Sept. 19: Dayanand Public School (DPS) organised prize distribution function “Achievers Award” 2017 to felicitate the students who have excelled in academics.
The top students of the school who brought laurels during the 2016-17 board examination were recognised. All the subject toppers were also awarded.
Cash prize were awarded to the students under the “scholarship scheme” announced by the management. Under the scheme- Md. Tasnim Raza of Std. X was awarded cash prize of Rs 15000, Saurav Kr. Mishra of Std. XII bagged Rs. 20000 and Komal Agarwal of Std. XII was also awarded Rs. 20000 cash prize.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr. R.N. Sharma, Chairman, Jamshedpur Arya Samaj Trust. In his speech he appealed the parents to allow children to choose their career path and don’t force or pressurize them to go the way the parents want.
‘The parents should not discriminate between boys and girls and provide equal opportunity to both of them’, added Sharma. Present on the occasion were Prem Sagar, Devender Chatrath, Rajiv Talwar and other trustees of the Jamshedpur Arya Samaj Trust.
