DBMS College Jamshedpur students explore Darjeeling on educational tour

Jamshedpur: Students of D.B.M.S. College of Education, Kadma, went on a six-day educational and sightseeing tour to Darjeeling with the aim of gaining real-world exposure beyond classroom learning. The trip was designed to help students experience natural beauty, understand cultural heritage, and develop essential life skills.
During the tour, students visited several major attractions, including Mirik Lake, Gopal Dhara, Tiger Hill, the Kanchenjunga viewpoint, Batasia Loop, the zoo, tea gardens, Mountaineering Hill, and Tenzing Hill.

Teachers and support staff accompanied them throughout the journey to ensure safety, discipline, and proper guidance.
Principal Dr. Joohi Samarpita said such educational tours play a vital role in the holistic development of students. “Books give us knowledge, but travel opens our eyes,” she said, adding that these experiences help build confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills.

 


The tour also included the presence of Management Committee Secretary Sripriya Dharmarajan, Joint Secretary Sudha Dilip, Principal Dr. Joohi Samarpita, Dr. Meenakshi Choudhary, Sudeep Pramanik, Lalit Kishore, Birendra Pandey, and Julian Anthony.
Students expressed gratitude to the College Management Committee and the Principal for the opportunity.
