Jamshedpur, Feb 3: D.B.M.S College of Education celebrated Saraswati Puja with great reverence, devotion, and enthusiasm on Monday. The event saw the participation of all students, who attended in traditional yellow attire, symbolizing knowledge and prosperity.

The college premises witnessed a grand Saraswati Puja, where students invoked the Goddess through Shlokas and a melodious Saraswati Vandana. Secretary Sripriya Dharmarajan and Anjali Ganesan performed the Tamil-style worship of Goddess Saraswati. The program was conducted by Antara, while under the guidance of music teacher Amrita Chaudhari, students sang Saraswati Vandana with enthusiasm.

The priest performed the Abhishek of the Goddess with milk, curd, water, and coconut water, followed by floral offerings and worship through sacred chants. The puja, lasting for two hours, saw the participation of Chairman B. Chandrashekhar, DBMS Trustee Shiv Shankar Singh, Governing Body Secretary Satish, Secretary Sripriya Dharmarajan, Joint Secretary Sudha Dilip Padma Shiva, Principal Dr. Joohi Samarpita, and Vice Principal Dr. Monica Uppal, who joined students in worship.
A highlight of the celebration was the decoration of the Saraswati temple with over 5,000 bangles, guided by Anjali Ganesan and Kajal Mahato, with enthusiastic participation from both boys and girls. David Richard, Amisha, Sweety, and Pooja meticulously crafted the throne of Goddess Saraswati using bangles.
Students Arpita Chakraborty, Trisha, Ishika, and Tanushree presented Saraswati Vandana, while Ravi, Varsha, Neha Patel, Baby, and Priyanka Kumari recited sacred Shlokas. A group comprising Saumini, Muskan Kumari, Shristi, Puja, Pramila, Priyadarshini, Ankita, Muskan Raj, Baby, Eliza Samad, and Insha Siddiqui sang Vasant Panchami songs to mark the occasion.
The event concluded with the distribution of prasad to all attendees. Manisha Kumari skillfully conducted the program, which was attended by all teachers, staff, and students of the college, making it a truly memorable and spiritually uplifting celebration.
