Jamshedpur, Feb 3: The RD Tata Technical Institute, Golmuri (NTTF) celebrated Saraswati Puja with great devotion and enthusiasm on Monday. The event brought together students, teachers, and parents, who participated in the worship of Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, seeking her blessings for wisdom and learning.
Coordinator, Pallavani, addressed the students, explaining the significance of Basant Panchami and Saraswati Puja. He highlighted that the festival is considered especially auspicious for students as Goddess Saraswati symbolizes knowledge, wisdom, and music. The celebration featured various cultural programs, including bhajans, Shloka recitations, and other devotional performances by students.

Basant Panchami is not only a religious festival but also a symbol of education and knowledge in Indian culture. According to scriptures, Maa Saraswati is believed to have appeared on this day, contributing to the creation of Brahma’s universe. The festival has been celebrated since ancient times and falls on the Panchami Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Magh as per the Hindu calendar. Wearing yellow attire and consuming yellow food is a tradition on this day, as yellow represents prosperity and positive energy.
