Chaibasa, March 8: Bank of India’s customer service center in Chaibasa was robbed in broad daylight on Saturday.
The criminals fled after taking out about Rs 1.5 lakh kept in the counter. The incident took place at the bus stand of Sadar police station area of Chaibasa.
The police was informed about the incident. Customer service center operator Tarun Kumar Vishwakarma told the police that after opening the center in the morning, three boys came there. One of them had a pistol in his hand. They pointed the pistol at Tarun and took out about one and a half lakh rupees kept in the cash box.
After carrying out this daring incident, the robbers managed to escape from there. The operator said that the robbers took away the CCTV installed there and even his mobile. Meanwhile, the police reached the spot and started investigating. At the same time, the CCTV footage installed in the area is being searched.
