Jamshedpur: The 78th Independence Day celebration at DAV Public School, Bistupur, was a remarkable event that captured the spirit of freedom, unity, and diversity. The campus buzzed with patriotic fervour as the school honoured this significant day. The festivities commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by ARO cum Principal Pragya Singh, followed by the National Anthem, setting a solemn tone for the occasion.
The grandeur of the event was highlighted by a synchronized march past presentation by the students, showcasing their discipline and unity. Dippanita Kanungo of Class XII B delivered a stirring speech, earning a hearty round of applause from the audience. A grand cultural program followed, featuring vibrant dance performances by students from classes VI to IX, reflecting India’s rich culture and the pledge to uphold the nation’s pride.
The choir group captivated the audience with melodious patriotic songs, while Adrija Anand of Class XI A6 delivered a powerful Hindi recitation, honouring the legacy of freedom fighters. A skit reenacting the court session of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru added historical depth to the celebration.
Pragya Singh’s address emphasized the importance of empathy, positive thinking, and striving to be the best version of oneself. She also highlighted the selection of DAV PS Bistupur’s Atal Innovation Project, The Green Walkathon, among the top 100 science projects in India. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dipak Kumar Sinha, Sr. PGT, reminding everyone of the sacrifices made for our freedom and encouraging contributions towards a united and stronger India
