DAV NIT: Three day DAV teachers’ training on adjusting to NEP-2020 guidelines

Jamshedpur, June 12: In accordance with the programme chalked by DAV Centre of Academic Excellence, New Delhi, a three day capacity building programme was organized for teachers of six DAV schools under Jharkhand A Zone Jamshedpur Division. 190 teachers from DAV Schools at Gua, Chiria, Noamundi, Jhinkpani, Baharagora and NIT Adityapur participated in the three day capacity building training programme that concluded on Monday, June 12. DAV Assistant Regional Officer OP Mishra said, “Presently, it is mandatory to inform the teachers about the discussion and planning of changes in the NEP-2020 (New Education Policy). Discussions on the manner of implementation of NEP were held with the purpose of simplifying the teaching-learning process.” The discussions also featured the importance of linking moral values to education to mould children into good human beings.

The three-day education awareness programme provided detailed information on changes in the New Education Policy including practical training, syllabus amendments of various subjects so that teacher  could introduce the changing nature of education among students in a new light.

 The Master Trainers, Trainers and Resource Persons explained the methods of teaching subjects in an interesting manner as endorsed by the NEP. DAV School Principals Dr Manoj Kumar Pandey (Gua), SK Jha (Chiria), SK Pathak (Jhinkpani) and Anoop Kumar (Baharagora) were specially invited to review the training programme for teachers. The NIT Professor who was one of the Resource Persons, briefed the teachers at the training programme on how to motivate students by tackling difficult subjects in a simplified method.

On conclusion of the three day NEP education awareness programme, DAV Baharagora Principal Anup Kumar, while proposing the vote of thanks, provided guidelines to serve the purpose of implementing NEP – 2020 for a brighter future of the students.
