Jamshedpur, August: Students lined the hall of DAV Public School, Bistupur on Friday to show their scientific expertise. The school held its annual Science exhibition with display and experiments from students ranging from junior through senior year.
“We are thrilled with the response for our Science Exhibition,” said principal of the school, Pragya Singh who also inaugurated the show.
She said that our focus is to provide a forum for children to pursue their natural curiosity and to quench their thrust for creativity. Singh added that the goal, like most youth activities, is to allow the students to be engaged in a way that is fun for them.
Students displayed their talent by exhibiting exciting working models. A student made a working model of a plane from a soft drink plastic bottle which was appreciated by all. A science teacher said, “Our main objective of exhibition is to make children fell that science is all around us and we can gain knowledge as well as solve many problems by relating the learning process to the physical and social environment”.
“To highlight the role of Science and Technology for producing good quality and environment friendly materials for the use of society is our main focus”, added a senior science teacher.
Science teachers were asked to mark the projects for formative assessment as classwise best 3 projects were awarded. Another science teacher said judgement was based on working model to explain a concept, innovative design or technique and production cost (less cost & durability).
