Be more sensitive towards child’s problems: Pragya Singh to parents
Jamshedpur, Dec 16: DAV Public School Bistupur on Friday organised orientation program on SAFAL (Structured Assessment for Analyzing Learning), a competency based assessment for std V and VIII.
The programmed was aimed with a view to brief the parents with the changing pattern in the CBSE curriculum.
The major objectives of the program was to make the parents aware of the recommendations of NEP 2020 which aims to promote the overall development of the students and suggests a shift from rote memorization to competency based Learning.
Addressing the parents, Principal Pragya Singh assured them of the school’s commitment in making SAFAL successful. A short video along with the guidelines of SAFAL was displayed on the screen and the parents were briefed about it, thereby ensuring their participation in monitoring the performance and progress of the students. She also urged the parents to be more communicative and sensitive toward the child’s problems as ‘Every Child is Unique’.
This was followed by an interactive session wherein the specific concerns raised by the parents were skillfully addressed by the principal.
