DAV Bistupur hosts teacher training workshop

Jamshedpur: DAV Public School, Bistupur, Jamshedpur, organized a three-day Capacity Building Programme for in-service teachers from February 11 to 13, 2025. The workshop, held under the mandatory DAV CAE Training of Teachers, aimed to enhance teaching methodologies for educators of Classes IX to XII across Jharkhand Zone – E. Around 100 teachers from eight schools participated in the program, covering subjects like English, Mathematics, Social Science, Economics and Computer Science.

The event began with the lighting of the lamp ceremony, followed by a welcome address from ARO cum Principal, Pragya Singh, who emphasized integrating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into education. She urged teachers to create awareness about climate change and transform schools into “Ecosystems of Change.” Singh also highlighted the School Quality Assessment and Assurance Framework (SQAA), noting that teaching and learning processes contribute 40% to school evaluation, while factors like infrastructure, governance and leadership hold 10% each.

The sessions focused on innovative pedagogical techniques, critical thinking and digital learning integration. English teachers explored creative writing and comprehension strategies, while Mathematics educators engaged in visual learning and real-life applications. Social Science and Economics sessions discussed case-based learning and contemporary economic trends, while Computer Science training introduced AI tools and coding exercises.

A panel discussion on bridging traditional and digital learning was held over the first two days, with educators sharing best practices and challenges. The final day focused on assessment techniques, student engagement strategies and hands-on activities, culminating in group presentations and a feedback session recognizing participants and trainers.
