Jamshedpur, Dec. 23: The 65th, 66th & 67th Championship Dog Show concluded with All Breed Show and prize distribution at JRD Tata Sports Complex on Sunday. The three-day annual event organised by Jamshedpur Kennel Club saw people from all walks of life witness amazing antics of the canines.
Afghan hound owned by Nagraj Shetty from Bangalore which won the ‘Best in Show’ award at 65th Championship again hogged the limelight on the concluding day. He was awarded the ‘Best in Show’ at the 66th pointed championship dog show. Golden Retriever owned by Pallab Saha of Kolkata bagged the ‘Reserve Best in Show’ award.
Beagle owned by Jamshedpur’s Palash Ghosh received the ‘Third Best in Show’ award.
At the 67th non pointed show, Dashound owned by Tarun Singh of Kolkata won the ‘Best in Show’ award. Shihtzu owned by Pallab Saha of Kolkata won the ‘Reserve Best in Show’ award.
Desi breed Pashmi won the fourth ‘Best in Show’ award. Prizes were given away by Judge Michael Papadatos (Greece) along with Ruchi Narendran, show secretary and JKC President A.M. Misra in presence of other judges Torchai Chantrakum (Thailand), Jira Sattapunkeeree (Thailand ) and Woong Jong Lee (Korea).
The international Judges from Greece, Thailand and Korea were happy with the way the Championship was conducted and the huge response the Show got. It may be mentioned here that the top rate dogs of India participated in the event.
In words of A.M.Misra, President Jamshedpur Kennel Club, the competition was organized efficiently and the ambience in and around the arena was of high quality.

67Th Non-Pointed Show winner-Dashhound (owned by Tarun Singh, Kolkata), Reserve Best-Shihtzu (owned by Pallab saha from Kolkata).
Being a Sunday, citizens in large number thronged the venue. Japanese Breed-Akita, Afghan Hound, Siberian Husky, Fox Terrier (Wire), Chihuahua (long and short coat), American Cokker Spaniel, Whippet apart from the normal popular breeds like Pugs, Poms, Spitz, German Shephard ( Alsatian & Melanoise), Labrador, Golden Retriever, Daschund, English & Bull Mastiff, Great Dane, Doberman, Boxer, Beagle etc attracted a large crowd.
