Jamshedpur, May 16: A 20 year-old youth, identified as Amit Kumar, committed suicide by hanging self to death in Ganesh Nagar locality of Bagbera police station area late Sunday night, police said.
Cops said the youth’s body was found hanging from the ceiling of his room this morning. His family members and neighbours brought him down and took him to Sadar Hospital, Khasmahal, where doctors declared him brought dead, cops said.
Police sent the body of the deceased to MGM Medical College for postmortem examination. They suspect the youth was suffering from depression which led him to take the extreme step. The cause of depression is yet to be known, police said.
