Jamshedpur, Aug 11: Cybercrime incidents continue unabated in the city, with fraudsters employing new tactics to dupe unsuspecting victims. In the latest case, Neelam, a resident of Shankosai Road No. 3, Mango Ulidih, fell prey to an online loan scam and lost ₹89,000.

According to her complaint, the fraudsters contacted her via WhatsApp on July 13, sending a link as part of their loan offer. Trusting them, she made multiple transactions totaling ₹89,000. When the promised loan never materialized and communication turned hostile, she realized she had been cheated.
