Jamshedpur: Community heads (Para Mukhiyas) and women representatives of the Teli Sahu Samaj from various regions were welcomed and honoured according to traditional customs at the Karma Mahotsav 2026, organized by the Teli Sahu Samaj (Sakchi Zone, Jamshedpur) at the Surya Mandir Town Hall in Sidgora.
Meritorious students were also felicitated, and a youth matrimonial introduction session (Yuvak-Yuvati Parichay Sammelan) was organized.
The former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Raghubar Das, attended as the chief guest, while the BJP East Singhbhum district in-charge, Dinesh Kumar, was present as the special guest. Das said that the progress of society is only possible through education, values (sanskar), and a strong organization.
Appreciating the efforts of the Teli Sahu Samaj in preserving cultural traditions and fostering social unity, Das stated that such events provide new direction and energy to the community. Dinesh Kumar remarked that Karma Mahotsav is a powerful medium to connect the community with its roots, culture, and traditions.
The main attraction of the event was a captivating performance by the renowned Pandwani singer Taruna Sahu from Chhattisgarh. She mesmerized the audience with her energetic and folk-cultural rendition, earning immense appreciation as the auditorium echoed with applause for a long time.
