Jamshedpur, Nov 20: A Women’s Health Camp was organized at CSIR–National Metallurgical Laboratory (CSIR–NML) on Thursday under the guidance of Director Dr. Sandeep Ghosh Chowdhury. The initiative aimed to promote preventive healthcare and overall well-being among women employees.
The programme was inaugurated by Sanchita Ghosh Chowdhury, wife of the Director, CSIR–NML.

Specialist medical services were provided by a team of doctors from different institutions. Dr. Ruchita Agarwal, Gynaecologist from Spand Hospital, offered consultations related to gynaecology and obstetrics. Oral and dental examinations were conducted by Dr. Raj Kumar Gupta of N S Clinic. Dr. Adarshi Dalai from Utkal University, Odisha assisted in dental screening and counselling. The camp focused on reproductive health, oral health, and preventive care, ensuring women employees received essential medical support.
The event was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Priyanka Singh, Medical Officer, CSIR–NML, along with her medical team and the CSIR Staff Club. A dedicated organizing committee comprising Jay Shankar Sharan, Dr. Jhumki, Dr. Anjani Kumar Sahu, Rupa Das Biswas, Lalit Kumar Mudi, R. R. Srivastava, and Vijay Anand Mukhi played a key role in planning and smooth execution.
Women employees from various departments participated enthusiastically, reaffirming CSIR-NML’s commitment to fostering a healthy and empowered workforce.
