Jamshedpur, July 21: Three motorcycle-borne criminals made an abortive attempt to snatch a gold chain from a woman at Road No 1 in Hariom Nagar locality of Adityapur on Thursday.
Sources said the incident took place in broad daylight when the woman was walking alone on the road. The victim’s chain got splitted in the failed loot attempt. When the woman raised an alarm, local residents tried to chase the culprits who fled towards Jai Prakash Udyan, sources said.
Police officers deputed at Kharkai police outpost also tried to chase the culprits, but failed to get them. Cops are looking for CCTV camera footage to identify the culprits, sources said.
