Jamshedpur, May 7: Vaccination for COVID protection was administered at Rajendra Vidyalay in Sakchi and St Mary’s School in Bistupur. COVAXIN doses were provided at these centres. These two centres were selected on the directives of East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar.

District COVID Vaccine Officer, Dr BN Usha appealed to citizens with COVID symptoms like cough, cold and fever, to stay away from the vaccine centres as taking vaccines at such stages would not be beneficial for them and protection was essential at such times.

The citizens are facing trying times due to shortage of COVID vaccines. Among them are those whose second doses are almost due.

The other centres where vaccines are being provided in the city include Ravindra Bhawan and Red Cross Society in Sakchi, LIC Bhawan and Tata Main Hospital in Bistupur, Sadar Hospital in Parsudih and Tata Motors Hospital in Telco.
