Covid-19 Jamshedpur: Companies not to mark absent employees for vaccination: DC

Jamshedpur, May 21: East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Suraj Kumar has in a letter to management of the various corporate units located in the district and Jamshedpur has asked them not to mark those employees as absent who turn up for vaccination for Covid and get delayed for duty. 

The deputy commissioner has in the letter said that due to surge in Covid cases there has been an increase in mortality rate in the city and the government has initiated several measures to contain spread of the Covid diseases and inoculation is one of the steps and more and more people should get themselves vaccinated against the disease and the corporate units and private firms should extend their cooperation for the sake of humanity and supplement government efforts so that more and more number of employees can get themselves vaccinated without worrying about their duty hours. 

Meanwhile, as part of efforts to increase vaccination centre for the convenience of the beneficairies acting on the directive of the East Singhbhum deputy commissioner, SDO Dhalbhum Nitesh Kumar and Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee speical officer Krishna Kumar today inspected the XLRI Auditorium in Circuit House for adding to the list of vaccination centres.  The administrative saw the facilities and held talk with the management of the auditorium for starting the vaccination camp from XLRI auditorium from next week. 

The team also inspected the vaccination facilities at PM Mall in Bistupur and Chinmaya School. 

Significantly, so far 276946 persons in East Singhbhum have taken first dose of the vaccine while 62735 have taken second dose of the vaccines.
