Saraikela, Dec. 13: The counting process for panchayat elections at Seraikela started at Kashi Sahu College under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Chandrashekhar on Sunday, December 13.
The process for counting will take place from December 13 to 15 and later the results will be announced. The first day of the counting saw severe disorder as there was electricity available at the counting venues and counting officials has to face a tough time.
The counting officials were seen counting under candle light which made their work harsher. The candidates outside the counting venues protested against the electricity department and district administration of disorder.
The District Electoral Officer Bhishma Kumar seemed helpless and assured that all the faults will be fixed at the earliest so that all work is done in proper order.
It may be noted that Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishad certificate will be issued by the district.
