3-day coin exhibition begins in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Dec. 13: Jamcoin Expo 2015 an exhibition of rare coins kicked off at Red Cross Bhawan, Sakchi on Sunday. Alok Kumar, SDO, East Singhbhum inaugurated the exhibition in presence of Ashish Mathur, managing director, Jusco.

The 21st Exhibition of Rare Coins will continue till December 15. After the inauguration a colourful dance performances depicting Coins by Jamshedpur school students was also presented.

Later SDO Kumar visited several stalls and inquired about the coins on display. Because of educative and knowledgeable hobby, students in and around Jamshedpur have made their active participation in this exhibition. Students from different schools of the city including AIWC Academy of Excellence, Baridih, DAV Public School, Bistupur, Jusco School, South Park, Jamshedpur Public School, Baridih, J.H. Tarapore School, Dhatkidih, Jusco School, Kashidih.

Kerala Public School, Kadma, Motilal Nehru Public School, Sakchi, SDSM School for Excellence, Sidhgora,
Valley View School, Telco and Jusco School, Kadma will participation for Quiz Competition and Display of Coins on 14th December.

More than 15 Dealers from all over India, such as from Ahmadabad, Baroda, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna, Ranchi, Rajasthan etc. are part of the exhibition while more than 10 club members are also exhibiting their coins. During the three day exhibition Scholars will deliver the lecture on Coins and Minting process of coins at the time of ancient era.

The coin exhibition showcases coins of different shapes and sizes. The coins are collected from not only across the nation but worldwide.
