Jamshedpur, Oct 28: The daily detection of new coronavirus positive cases dropped below 50 in Jamshedpur. 27 new cases were reported in East Singhbhum district in on Wednesday, October 28. The death toll remains at 352 with no death reported on Wednesday.
Positive tally has climbed to 15685 while the death toll remains at 352. 30 people recovered of the virus on Wednesday taking the total recovery to 14163 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 1170. The district administration spokesperson informed that 27 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Wednesday. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 105503 test per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 90% while the mortality rate is 2.2 %.
So far in Jamshedpur 293090 samples have been collected out of which 280848 have been tested and 265163 have turned out to be negative.
The Coronavirus tally in the state on Wednesday reached to 1,00,569 as 345 cases of Covid-19 were detected across 23 districts of the state. During the day 4 deaths were reported including 2 from Ranchi and 1 each from Deoghar and Lohardaga districts after which the overall death count has increased to 880 in the state. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.87 percent. As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 5,363 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 94,326. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 880. On Wednesday no case was found in Chatra district. On Wednesday a maximum number of 92 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 53 in Dhanbad, 30 in Bokaro, 27 in East Singhbhum and 26 from Lohardaga (top five districts). A total of number of 452 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 102 from Ranchi, 49 from Bokaro, 41 in Ramgarh, 36 from Dhanbad and 30 from East Singhbhum. Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 93 percent mark to currently stand at 93.79 percent in Jharkhand. So far in the state 32,07,031 samples have been collected out of which 31,93,717 have been tested and 30,93,148 have turned out to be negative.
