Jamshedpur: Sonari police today claimed to have foiled a murder bid by arresting one Lakhinder Sardar from Sidhu Kanhu Busti under Sonari police station area and seized arms from his possession.
Cops said the accused had planned to kill Pintu Pramanik, alleged killer of his father, in Sidhu Kanhu Busti. The accused carried a country-made single-shot when he was caught by police on the basis of a tip-off.
An FIR was lodged against Sardar under Arms Act and 120 B of IPC for criminal conspiracy.
Police officials said the accused had spilled the beans during interrogation and told them he had planned to kill his father�s killer in his house this morning.
Before Sardar could execute his plans, cops got whiff of it and nabbed him.
