Jamshedpur, Sept 14: The Marwari Mahila Manch (MMM), Jamshedpur branch, launched its annual Consumex Fair 2025 at Tulsi Bhawan, Bistupur. The three-day exhibition-cum-sale, aimed at empowering women, began on Sunday and will continue till Tuesday, September 16.
The fair was inaugurated by Rupa Pal, in-charge of Sakchi Mahila Thana, who cut the ribbon and lit the ceremonial lamp. Praising the Marwari Mahila Manch, she said, “It is commendable that such a strong unit of women is actively working together. This organization always stands ready to support society.”
The event was presided by Forum President Rani Agarwal, with Secretary Meena Agarwal ensuring smooth organization. They informed that the fair will remain open from 10 am to 9 pm daily.
A total of 60 stalls have been set up, offering a wide variety of items for Durga Puja and Diwali under one roof at affordable prices. Women entrepreneurs from Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Kanpur, Rairangpur, Rourkela, Banaras, and other cities are participating.
The first day witnessed a large turnout of visitors, with both stall owners and customers praising the arrangements. Members of the forum, including Lata Agarwal, Prabha Padia, Manju Khandelwal, Bina Khirwal, Sushila Khirwal, Seema Agarwal, Saraswati Agarwal, and many others, helped out in organizing the event.
