Jharkhand�s 100 farmers to visit Israel to hone skills

Jamshedpur, Sept 26: Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Thursday
announced that the construction of much awaited Dhalbhumgarh airport, near
Jamshedpur will start in a month.
Addressing Johar Jan Ashirwad Yatra at
Baharagora, Das said that construction of airport will pave way for development
in and around Dhalbhumgarh. Along with the Kolhan, people of West Bengal and
Odisha will also benefit from this airport. Business activities in the area
will increase. The construction will kick start in a month.

The Yatra arrived in the city through Baharagora and passed through Chakulia, Ghatsila, Mosabani, Jadugora, Sundernagar, Karandih, Khasmahal, Station Chowk, Sankata Petrol Pump Chowk, Star Talkies roundabout in Burmamines and six different Mandal units of Jamshedpur East assembly constituency. Notwithstanding incessant rains, a large number of people comprising BJP workers and party supporters attended the rally and listened to the CM.

Das said Dhalbhumgarh and adjoining areas were neglected for the last 70 years. The airport project is being implemented by the joint effort of the state government and PM Narendra Modi at helm. The new airport will also generate employment. More and more people will benefit from airport, he said.

The State Government has zeroed on the World War-II era abandoned airstrip (nearly 2 km long).� World War II era abandoned airfield in Chakulia, barely 70 km from Jamshedpur, was built by the British in the 1940s at an estimated cost of Rs 3 crore, and later used extensively during the 1962 war with China and the 1971 war with Pakistan for the liberation of Bangladesh is spread across an area of 515.44 acres.

The CM also attacked former CM and JMM supremo Shibu Soren and his family for looting and plundering Jharkhand�s wealth. He said that JMM is ruled by a particular family only and if anyone wants to make it big in the party he needs to take birth in that family.�Das said that most of the CNT-SPT Act violation has been done by Soren family in the State alone. The family bought large chunk of lands misusing the act.

Das reiterated that the government is dedicated towards development of the state with special focus on rural areas. He said that the people will reap the benefits of the several welfare schemes is his government�s priority.

He also motivated the workers to get ready for next election. He deliberated minutely on issues pertaining to the strengthening of the booth committees.

Das said the previous government kept the farmers indebted, forcing the farmers to commit suicide. Modi government formed in 2014 has pledged to double the income of farmers. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is one of its links so that the farmers can be provided financial assistance for agricultural work. The state government has also started the Chief Minister Kisan Ashirwad Yojana. With these two schemes, 35 lakh farmers of the state will get minimum 11 and maximum 31 thousand rupees.
The first installment of the Chief Minister Kisan Aashirwad Yojana has been given to the farmers and the other 12 lakh farmers will get the first installment. Besides, farmers will also get the second installment of the scheme before Diwali.
Das also informed that there are plans to send 100 farmers to Israel in October this year. Among them will be 50 women and 50 men.
