Jamshedpur: The District Congress Committee demonstrated in Jamshedpur on Thursday to protest the alleged NEET examination paper leak scandal. The protestors demanded strict action against the individuals who compromised the country’s competitive examination system.
District Congress Committee President Parvinder Singh led the party workers, who gathered at Sakchi Aam Bagan before launching a protest rally to the Deputy Commissioner’s office. During the march, party workers shouted strong slogans against the Central Government and accused authorities of failing to protect the integrity of national-level examinations.
Addressing the gathering, Singh warned that repeated question paper leaks across the country push the future of millions of students into uncertainty. He noted that students spend years preparing for these highly competitive exams, only to watch corruption and malpractice destroy their hard work in moments.
Singh emphasized that repeated cancellations and re-examinations place immense mental pressure on students and their families. He pointed out that examination irregularities cause severe emotional distress for students across the country, driving some to take extreme steps like suicide.
Calling the situation extremely serious, Singh demanded that authorities take the strictest possible legal action against paper leak rackets. He argued that officials should punish those responsible for ruining students’ futures under stringent provisions of the law, including murder charges under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
Congress leaders also demanded that the government immediately introduce a transparent, accountable, and technologically secure examination mechanism to prevent future leaks and restore students’ confidence.
Party workers alleged that repeated leaks expose major weaknesses in competitive exam administration and raise serious questions about accountability and governance.
A large number of Congress workers and supporters joined the protest and submitted a memorandum to the district administration to convey their demands to the government.
