Congress win inevitable in Uttarakhand: Jharkhand minister Banna Gupta

Jamshedpur, March 9: State health minister Banna Gupta said the people of Uttarakhand had blessed the Congress party in the recently concluded Assembly elections and claimed that the party was sure to emerge victor. He rubbished all claims made by exit polls that projected BJP as the leading party in the state elections.

Gupta performed Ganga aarati in Rishikesh on Wednesday and prayed for the victory of Congress in the Assembly elections. He said Congress was going to form majority government in Uttarakhand. He said had held a meeting with the chief supervisor and other senior leaders of the party to prepare strategy for the counting day.

Various senior party leaders including Harish Rawat and Deependra Singh Hudda were present at the meeting, sources said.
