Demand arresting of culprits, seek protection for the victim
Jamshedpur: District Congress committee members and supporters put up a demonstration before the SSP office on Monday to demand arresting of culprits responsible for firing on Congress supporter Baldev Singh.
A delegation comprising members of Jharkhand State Youth Congress Committee led by the state secretary Rakesh Sahu met SSP Anoop T Mathew and handed over a memorandum to him demanding speedy investigation into the firing incident near Tagore Academy at Sakchi.
Baldev Singh was shot at by four motorcycle-borne assailants outside the said school on 3rd November last. He had gone to pick up his son when he was attacked by the criminals. He is under treatment in Tata Main Hospital.
The SSP said the case was being investigated by SP City Prashant Anand. He assured the Congress leaders of speedy investigation into the crime. He said the culprits will not be spared under any circumstances.
Among those present during the demonstration included Parvinder Singh, Paritosh Singh, Nalini Sinha, Surendra Sharma, Kamlesh Sao, Rahul Goswami and Aruna Mukhi.
