Jamshedpur, Aug 28: Senior Congress leader, former Minority Commission chairman and former Lohardaga parliamentarian Dr Rameshwar Oraon�s appointment as the state�s party president has been welcomed by the district president of the OBC cell Surendra Sharma. He also expressed happiness over the induction of Kamlesh Mahto, Irfan Ansari, Manas Sinha, Sanjay Paswan and Rajesh Thakur as executive presidents of the State Congress Committee.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, Surendra Sharma stated that all party executives were elated over Dr Oraon�s being made the state president of the Congress committee. He said that with his appointment, the Congress in the state would be hugely benefitted during the forthcoming Vidhan Sabha elections. He mentioned that the Congress fold would be strengthened from booth to state level. Sharma stated that Congress had already commenced its preparations for the forthcoming state elections and with Dr Oraon�s leadership would give a good show at the hustings.
