Complaint against scrap trader for online abuse and illegal activities

Jamshedpur: A formal complaint has been lodged at the Cyber Police Station, Jamshedpur against Gopal Yadav, a known supporter of former Jharkhand minister and Congress leader Banna Gupta, by Janata Dal (United) leader Rajan Singh Rajput, a resident of Pardih. The complaint alleges persistent online abuse, threats, and defamation targeting Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy and his supporters.

In his complaint, Rajan Rajput stated that Gopal Yadav has been using his Facebook account to post provocative, indecent, and objectionable content against Saryu Roy ever since the last assembly elections. He accused Yadav of intimidating and attempting to incite tensions through his social media activities.

Rajput submitted screenshots and copies of objectionable Facebook posts allegedly made by Gopal Yadav as evidence to the cyber police. He emphasized that Yadav has been using the platform to deliberately malign the image of public representatives and their supporters.

In addition to the online misconduct, Rajput also alleged that Gopal Yadav has a history of involvement in illegal activities. According to the complaint, Yadav is allegedly operating an illegal scrap yard in Pardih, and is reportedly engaged in the illegal trade and dismantling of stolen vehicles. Rajput mentioned that Ulidih Police had previously raided Yadav’s scrap yard and confiscated unlawful scrap materials.

He further claimed that Yadav has been linked to other criminal activities, including alleged involvement in the satta (illegal gambling) market.

Demanding strict action, Rajput urged the Cyber Police to thoroughly investigate Gopal Yadav’s social media accounts and take appropriate legal measures based on the findings.
