Jamshedpur, July 3: Members of East Singhbhum District Congress Committee staged a dharna before Jamshedpur Collectorate on Wednesday to demand compensation and jobs for the next of kin of Maheshwar Mahato and Khatija Khatun, who were recently killed in a road accident near Mango roundabout.
Leading the party members, state Congress president Dr Ajoy Kumar said a compensation of Rs 20 lakh and job should be given to the aggrieved kin of tanker mishap in Mango.
The party leaders handed a petition to the ADC of East Singhbhum in the absence of DC Ravindra Kumar Shukla.
Those present on the occasion included Anand Bihari Dubey, Ramashraya Prasad, Kuldeep Singh, Rakesh Sahu, Rajeev Pandey, Chandan Pandey and Geeta Singh.
