Jamshedpur: Tata Steel CEO and MD TV Narendran met the newly elected working committee members of Tata Workers Union led by the union president R Ravi Prasad on Monday while stressing the need for facing every challenge together.
Praising the union for its glorious past, Narendran said the coordination with which the company management and the union have been working is unparalleled and commendable. He said Tata Steel had completed its 100 years and its union too, would celebrate its 100th anniversary.
�Tata Steel has many challenges ahead. Tata Workers Union too, has to do a lot many things. What�s unique in itself is the joint consultation system of the management and union. Union leaders should also set an example by joining hands with the management through its journey,� said Narendran.
Narendran praised the union for organizing its elections in a free and fair manner. Opposition leaders of the union too, termed the election process as fair and remarkable.
Narendran was accompanied by VP (HRM) Suresh Dutt Tripathy and Chief (HRM) Sandeep Dhir. Among other union leaders who met Narendran include general secretary Satish Singh, deputy president Arvind Pandey, vice presidents Shahnawaz Alam, Bhagwan Singh, Shatrughan Rai, Shiv Shankar Singh, assistant secretary KK Singh, Dharmendra Upadhyaya, Nitesh Raj and treasurer Prabhat Lal.
