Jamshedpur, November 21: The JRD Tata Sports Complex, Jamshedpur, today hosted the Inter JDC Volleyball Tournament 2025, organised by the Sports Department, Tata Steel. The tournament saw thrilling matches and outstanding performances from participating teams.
The tournament culminated with Coke Plant emerging as the winners, securing a 2-1 set victory over CRM Bara, the runners-up. Equipment Maintenance & Engineering Services claimed the third place.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Ranjay Kumar Singh, Chief LD 3, who emphasised the importance of sports in fostering teamwork and camaraderie among employees. Guest of Honour Santosh Kumar Sinha, Chief CRM Bara, also shared his thoughts on the significance of such events in promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
Other distinguished guests present at the event included Mukul Vinayak Choudhari, Chief Sports and Sanjay Kumar Singh, Vice President, Tata Workers’ Union and Chairman of the Sports Advisory Committee. Also present were Shakti Kumar, Head, Coke Plant, Arvind Kumar, Head, Coke Plant, Bikash Ghosh, Senior Manager, Coke Plant, and Ajay Choudhary, Assistant Secretary, Tata Workers Union.
The tournament showcased the sporting spirit and talent of employees from various departments, making it a memorable event.
