CM urges residents to extend support to make Jharkhand Swachh by 2018

Jamshedpur, October 9: Chief Minister Raghubar Das visited various puja pandals in Jamshedpur and paid obeisance to Goddess Durga on the occasion of Maha Ashtami on Sunday.

On the occasion he wished the people of Jharkhand for a happy and peaceful festive season. CM appealed all to take pledge to make Jharkhand Swachh (clean) by the year 2018.

We have to make Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of Swachh Bharat a reality and I wish that Goddess Durga gives us strength to make every dream a reality and brings in prosperity for the state so that Jharkhand is known for its transparency and Corruption-free governance’, said Raghubar Das, adding, ‘Parents should not consider their daughter as a burden and first educate them and then only think of their marriage’.

After returning from USA, Das addressed Panchayat members across the state over video-conference from Ranchi last week and urged them to work towards achieving the government’s objective of making Jharkhand ‘Swacch (clean)’ by 2018. Significantly, CM Raghubar Das arrived in the city on Friday and inaugurated several puja pandals at Agrico, Telco etc.
