Ranchi, Nov 27: Chief Minister Raghyubar Das has directed the Road Construction Department to complete all ongoing work within a time frame. He said that quality construction increases 18% economic development. He was reviewing the activities of theRoad Construction Department.
The CM directed to complete Govindpur- Sahebganj- Jamtara road by 2016. He directed to complete land acquisition process also for the construction of Ranchi- Bokaro-Dhanbad 6 lane Expressway and Ranchi-Dhanbad- Jamshedpur Industrial Corridor (6-lane Golden Triangle). He directed the officers to complete the Ranchi Ring Road section – 7. He also reviewed Corridor Scheme, the roads which go to the boundary line of other states.
RCD principal secretary Rajbala Verma informed the CM about the various schemes undertaken in the state. She said that Rs. 1935 crores have been expensed out of provisioned budget of Rs. 3,000 crore and 700 km road has been constructed against targeted 1100 km. Construction work is in progress on Garhwa- Shahpur, Ghaghra- Neterhat, Chatarpur- Chatra, Sundipara- Pansa Roads as well as a bridge on Koel River.
Work has been allotted for construction of Chatra- Chauparan Road, Mohammadganj- Japla- Dangwar Road, Kuju- Ghato Road, Chaibasa- Kokcho- Barbharia Road, Mirchachowki- Simra- Boarijor Road, Khunti-Torpa Road, Aasanbani- Patmada Road and others.
Verma informed that Ratu- Road Scheme (Rs. 443 crore), NH 343 (Garhwa �Chattisgarh Boarder Rs. 190.36 crore), NH 114 A (184 to 216 Km � Rs. 353.13 crore and others are in the last stage of completion.
Verma said that ADB sustained Govindpur- Tundi �Giridih(43.5 Km) has been technically approved and financial tender is being evaluated. She said that DPR of PPP project for Nonihat- Kerabani- Bagdaha and Dumari- Phushro � Jainamore has been prepared and process is on for technical approval.
She also informed that the government has consented to widen and strengthen the roads. Chandwara- Singhwara Road (Rs. 50.99 crore), Doranda- Sankh- Bhedro- Patna Road (Rs. 49.34 crore), Chaunpur Ramkanda road (Rs. 41.34 crore) and Patladih- Deuri- Gawana- Satganwa (Rs. 75.23 crore) are in the pipeline.
Development commissioner R. S. Poddar, principal secretary, finance, Amit Khare, secretary to the CM Sunil Kr. Burnwal and other officers were present at the meeting.
