Jamshedpur, Dec. 14: Team Potka defeated Musabani by 2-0 in the boys’ category final to be crowned winners of Chief Minister Invitation Football Tournament. In the girls category team Musabani beat Jamshedpur 2-1 to win the tourney on Tuesday, December 14.
Jharkhand government’s tourism, art, culture, sports and youth affairs department under the aegis of East Singhbhum district administration at Tinplate Sports Complex in Jamshedpur.
On this occasion Ghatsila MLA Ramdas Soren, DC Suraj Kumar, District Sports Officer Rohit Kumar and former players encouraged the players by distributing prizes to the winner and runner-up.
Former players were also honored with mementoes by the district administration for their outstanding contribution to sports. On the occasion, head of Tentala Panchayat of Potka Dipantri Sardar was honored with memento for her continuous support in organizing the tournament. On the occasion Ramdas Soren encouraged the players and said that all teams are the winners.
