Ranchi, Nov. 13: Inaugurating the Krishi Bhawan, Chief Minister Mr. Raghubar Das said on Friday that agriculture is the backbone of economy and, hence, the development of the agriculture sector is necessary.
The CM said that the challenge of irrigation has to be met out and everyone�s help is required. He said that the next financial year budget will be farmer-oriented and appealed to the krishak samities to select place for the construction of check dams.
The CM laid emphasis on improving and updating the work culture of agriculture department in order to inform the farmers of the modern technologies available. He said that the farmers need not run for information, instead the agriculture department officers, scientists and others concerned should inspire the farmers through proper channels to boost up the yields.
Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Cooperative Minister Mr. Randhir Singh said that their department building will be illumined with solar energy.
Principal Secretary to the CM Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Agriculture Secretary Mr. Nitin Madan Kulkarni and other senior officers were present on this occasion.
