CM inaugurates new bus terminal in capital

Ranchi, Nov. 13: Inaugurating the newly-built Birsa Munda Bus Terminal, which was constructed at a cost of Rs. 15.18 crore, Chief Minister Mr. Raghubar Das said that the government is committed to provide the people all basic facilities in timeframe.

He said that the new bus terminal will prove to be a milestone in the development of the capital. He urged the general masses as well as social organizations to spread awareness regarding sanitation among people. The Chief Minister said that CCTVs will be installed and people spitting/ smoking after consumption of gutkha/ cigarettes will be fined.

The shed area of the terminal building is 72415 square feet with 36 ticket counters, two enquiry counters and a separate dormitory as well as toilets for men and women.

Urban Development Minister Mr. C. P. Singh, Ranchi MP Mr. Ram Tahal Choudhary, Kanke MLA Dr. Jitu Charan Ram, Additional Chief Secretary- cum- Director, SKIPA , Mr. Sudhir Prasad, Principal Secretary to CM Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Mayor Asha Lakra, Deputy Mayor Mr. Sanjeev Vijayvergese, ward councilors and other departmental officers were present at the inaugural function.
